‘Water, Wind, Dust, Bread’ to head to MiradasDoc fest

Iranian documentary 'Water, Wind, Dust, Bread' is to vie at the 15th MiradasDoc Int'l Film Festival in Spain.

Iranian documentary 'Water, Wind, Dust, Bread' has found a screening slot at the 15th MiradasDoc International Film Festival in Spain.

Mehdi Zamanpour Kiasari’s mid-length documentary will be competing at the special screening section of the 2022 Spanish festival, which is due for March 4-12.

The 25-minute documentary film is a delicate narrative of the life of two children named 'Abolfazl' and 'Setayesh' who experience a different life.

'Water, Wind, Dust, Bread', which took more than a year to produce, shows life in the Fahraj village of Iran’s Yazd Province.

On March 10-20, the doc will also go on screen at the 2022 Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in Greece.

‘Water, Wind, Dust, Bread’ was also premiered at the 34th International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) in the Netherlands, where it won the Special Jury Award of the event.

The 2022 Children’s Film Festival Seattle in the US also hosted the flick on February.

The MiradasDoc is an international documentary film festival which gives preference to documentary films on social subjects.

“The festival is structured along three main lines: festival, market and training and each one of those lines includes in turn a series of events related with reality cinema,” writes the official website of the event.
