Khamrubu awards Iran’s ‘The Hands’

The Khamrubu International Short Film Festival in India awards Iranian short ‘The Hands’.

The Khamrubu International Short Film Festival in India has awarded Iranian short film ‘The Hands’.

Iranian media reports said Parviz Rajaee's ‘The Hands’ was named the best short film at the 2nd edition of the Indian festival.

‘The Hands’ is about determinism and free will.

“Some are still waiting to be formed by a hand, while the rest are trying to form others,” a synopsis for the film reads.

‘The Hands’ received many awards, including the best short film award at the winter season of the World Premiere Film Awards in the US and the Certificate of Achievement for Best Iranian Film, which is given by critics, at the second edition of Eastern Venice Cine Fest in India.

Khamrubu International Short Film Festival is “a platform where you have always wanted to be with your team and with your product. At Khamrubu artists get the due respect and return of their hard work what they had been looking and imagining for their creativity”, the event’s website reads.

The 2nd edition of the festival took place on February 26-27.
