An orchestra from Iran’s Rudaki Artistic Cultural Foundation has given its latest concert as part of the Iranian Cultural Week event in the Conference Hall of the UNESCO Palace in Beirut.

The concert led by Bardia Kiaras with traditional vocalist Arash Kamangar as well as the participants of musicians from Lebanon was performed in two sections, the first of which featured ‘In Praise of Morning’, ‘Khusheh Chin’, ‘Fascinating Spring’, ‘The Message’ and ‘Kind-Religion Soil’.

The second part of the concert included ‘Restless for Balqis’ composed by Iranian musician Fardin Khalatbari with lyrics from Ahura Iman in sympathy with Lebanon on the disastrous blast in Beirut in 2020.

The Cultural Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran named ‘Fajr Cultural Days’ kicked off on February 28 in Lebanon with the performance of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra at the Lebanese Association of Arts, attended by the two countries’ ministers of culture.

The aim of the event was to expand and deepen the bilateral cultural and artistic relations, as well as introduce the rich history of the country.

Exhibitions of artworks, including paintings, photographs, cartoons and handicrafts, were held during the event.

There were also various workshops and performances by groups of artists at several cultural centers across Beirut.

Several Iranian films, including director Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian’s political thriller ‘Trace of Blood’, were screened at the event.

Various poetry nights and literary sessions by groups of Iranian literati and Lebanese cultural figures were held during the festival, which came to an end on Saturday.
