Handmade Persian carpets on offer at Shiraz int’l exhibition

The 18th exhibition of handmade carpets has been offering the highest quality handmade Persian carpets at the Shiraz International Exhibitions in southern Iran.

The exhibition, which kicked off on March 6, is hosting fifty-two percent of handmade carpet manufacturers in Fars province and 48 percent of handmade carpet manufacturers across Iran.

With the aim to help the development and better introduction of carpet weaving in Iran, the exhibition will run till March 11, 2022.

All type of Persian carpets are available to purchase from the exhibit, including kilims, Gabbeh and Jajim.

Enthusiasts can visit the exhibition by registration and scheduling.

Iran’s hand-woven carpets have worldwide fame for their delicate designs and good quality.

Persian carpets have been introduced to the world as one of the best Iranian handicrafts and have an important place in Iran's exports.

The most characteristic feature of all types of Persian rugs is believed to be a medallion pattern where it may represent an open lotus blossom with several petals.
