Corti a Ponte to screen Iran’s ‘Our Alley Sparrows’

Iranian short flick ‘Our Alley Sparrows’ has been scheduled to go on screen at the 15th edition of the Corti a Ponte film festival in Italy.

Directed by Zhivar Farajzadeh, the short flick is about a little boy who wants to feed the sparrows in the alley, but the things does not go as he wishes. However, the little boy is still happy about it.

‘Our Alley Sparrows’ is the first short film made by Farajzadeh when he was 12. It went on screen at some global events, including the Festival de Cinema Escolar de Alvorada in Brazil and the Dunedin International Film Festival in the US.

The Corti a Ponte presents films to an audience of 3 to 99 years old. The films are either in Italian or have Italian subtitle.

There is a special section of the festival for the films that are made by children and youth that is called “Piccolo Festival”. ‘Our Alley Sparrows’ will compete in this section.

The 2022 edition of the Italian festival will be held on May 9-21.
