Iran’s ‘Home Alone’ named finalist at Richmond fest

Iranian short film ‘Home Alone’ has made its way to the 2022 Richmond International Film Festival (RIFF) in the United States.

Written by Mostafa Rahimi, ‘Home Alone’ was named one of the finalists for the Short Screenplays category of the RIFF.

The RIFF is “an inclusive and spirited festival designed to honor cutting edge filmmakers”, according to an online submission platform.

The festival “welcomes films of all genres and niches (features & shorts) plus music videos, episodic and web series. RIFF also accepts screenplays (features & shorts) of all genres through its annual screenplay competition”.

“With the aim of recognizing both award-winning veteran filmmakers and up-and-coming emerging talent, the festival gives a platform for all and works to promote its participating filmmakers and writers through various media outlets and partners.”

The upcoming edition of Richmond International film Festival will take place on June 7-12.
