Bowinn Ma posted an online video in which she read a famous poem by Saadi at the legislative assembly chamber of British Columbia to highlight the role of humanity and the importance of caring for people in need across the globe.

The provincial minister for Infrastructure who is a member of the legislative assembly of British Columbia in Canada read ‘Bani Adam’ (Sons of Adam or Human Beings) by Saadi Shirazi.

She also wrote on her Twitter account, “I have now used this Persian poem by Saadi Shirazi more times than I can count. Over the last several years, we have seen so much human suffering as well as extraordinary acts of human compassion. Let us reflect together on what it means to be part of humanity.”
