Iranian-Afghan movie ‘The Dogs Didn’t Sleep Last Night’ has released a trailer.
Written and directed by Ramin Rasouli, the 110-minute movie tells the stories of the lives of a young shepherdess, a bird catcher and a teacher.
Their lives are intertwined by the wounds of war which are still bleeding.
“Life in a remote Taliban-held village in Afghanistan changes upon the arrival of an American soldier whose helicopter has crashed near the village and who is brought there by one of the villagers,” a synopsis for the film reads.
Produced by Siavash Haqiqi, the cast list of the film includes Atefeh Amini, Fahim Ebrahimi, Amir-Hossein Sadeqi, Fatemeh Khodadad, Qasem Alizadeh, Soghra Bayat, Ardalan Barsi, Yar-Mohammad Nasir-Mohammadi, Parsa Hosseini, and Amin Miri.
The movie has previously participated in global events, including the International Film Festival of India.
