Cinema iFilm has honored veteran Iranian actor Hamid Jebeli for his movie ‘White Dream’.
The movie is a comedy-drama about Reza who is living with his aged father.
Reza works in a wedding accessories shop and is in love with one of the bridal mannequins in the shop window.
He falls into some kind of depression when the mannequin is moved away but days after that falls for a customer who seems a rich beautiful lady, unknowing that she's married.
Reza goes through a journey to find the true love of his life who was always there for him, waiting to be seen.
Born in 1958, Jebeli started his career at the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults.
In 1978, he stepped on stage and marked the beginning of his professional career. Soon, he joined the cast of Adineh troupe and subsequently appeared in several TV dramas and programs most of which were comedies.
He made his small screen debut with ‘Boro Bia Neighborhood’ in 1982 and his first silver screen appearance was with ‘End Line’ in 1984.
While Jebeli found popularity on the small and silver screens, it was a puppet character that immortalized him.
In 1993, Jebeli and Iraj Tahmasb started a children’s program named ‘Kolah Qermezi’ (meaning Red Hat) in which he voiced the main characters Kolah Qermezi and his cousin Pesar Khaleh.
Jebeli has written and directed the movies ‘White Dream’ and ‘The Son of Maryam’ and cooperated in the production of many others as screenwriter.
From 1989 to 2005, he has appeared in a range of movies including ‘Mother’, ‘The Singing Cat’, ‘The Devoted’, ‘The Pastry Girl’, and ‘Under the Peach Tree’.
