Romanian photography exhibition awards Iran’s ‘Tawaf’

The Onyx Int’l Exhibition of Photography in Romania awards ‘Tawaf’ by Iranian photographer.

The 6th edition of the Onyx International Exhibition of Photography in Romania has awarded ‘Tawaf’ by Iranian photographer Mirali Parandak.

Showing Muslims during the ritual of circumambulating the Kaaba in Mecca, the photo received a Campina Exhibitions Gold Medal at the Color People category of the Romanian event.

The other main winners at this edition of the Onyx are photos from Ireland, Hungary, China, India, the US, Romania, Hong Kong, Poland, Ukraine, Belgium, Sri Lanka, Greece, Germany, Malta, Austria, Canada, Turkey, and Italy.

The exhibition presented a Club Special Award Plaque to Focus Photo Club from Iran and Mohammad Esteki from Iran won the ICS Certificate of Honorable Mention in the Monochrome Open section for his ‘Beautiful Eyes’. The photo shows an Iranian man gazing into the camera.

The Onyx International Exhibition of Photography will hold its public showcase on May 7 at the Campina House of Culture.

Conforming to the rules of the Photographic Society of America (PSA), Global Photographic Union (GPU) and Image Colleague Society (ICS), the exhibition is organized by the Campina Photographic Exhibitions Society in the categories of Color Open, Color People, Monochrome Open, Travel (color or monochrome) and Nature (color or monochrome).
