Michel Frodon is a French photographer, journalist and film critic, whose penname is Frodo, borrowed from the character of the same name in ‘The Lord of the Rings’. He started his career as a critic and photographer with the weekly periodical Le Point.
The famed critic has already attended Iranian film festival of Fajr several times.
Christophe Jacque Rivette (French photographer), Francesco Romero (Italian Photographer), Leili Golestan, Anahita Qobaeian, Bozorgmehr Hosseinpour, Majid Talebi and Alireza Shadizadeh are some of the jury board of the event.
According to the official webpage of the fest, “the 5 Photo Award is an international event for photography and video art with the intention to create a bridge between different countries and cultures. The festival is inspired by a 500 year-old tree in the suburb of Damavand, located in the village of Aro”.
The fest holds annually on June 22 in the Cinema Museum of Iran honoring late Abbas Kiarostami.
