‘Leila’s Brothers’ to vie at Cannes filmfest

Cannes Film Festival in France is slated to host Iranian movie ‘Leila’s Brothers’.

Saeed Roustaei’s latest directorial experience is to vie at the main competition section of the 2022 edition of the event.

The film will compete with 17 other movies from around the world to receive the Palme d'Or.

Renowned Iranian actors Parinaz Izadyar, Peyman Maadi, Taraneh Alidousti, Saeed Poursamimi, Farhad Aslani and Navid Mohammadzadeh star in ‘Leila’s Brothers’.

Other details of the film are yet to be revealed.

The Cannes Festival attracts some 45,000 people, of whom around 4,500 are journalists.

Its Film Market, held alongside the main competition, is the industry's biggest marketplace for producers, distributors, buyers and programmers.

The 75th edition of Cannes Film Festival will take place on May 17-28, 2022.
