Iranian short film ‘Najan’ is scheduled to vie at the Huesca International Film Festival in Spain.

Mohammad-Mehdi Baqeri’s directorial experience will represent Iran at the main competition section of the coming edition of the festival.

‘Najan’ narrates the story of a deaf boy who goes into a forest with his brother to see a tree that is said to fulfill wishes.

Abolfazl Qorbanzade, Sanyar Rafieipour, Fariborz Mansouri and Arsalan Mohammad-Beigi star in the film.

The Huesca International film festival has been founded by Foundacion Festival Internacional de Cine de Huesca.

The festival selects a number of film competitors among school works and that’s why it is an opportunity for new talents.

The selected works focus on the themes of interpersonal relationships, family bonds, love and friendship.

The 50th edition of the event will be held on June 10-18, 2022.
