KINOLAB fest in Poland to host Iranian ‘Winner’

Iranian ‘Winner’ is to compete at the KINOLAB festival in Poland.

Iranian short flick ‘Winner’ has been selected to compete at the 7th edition of the KINOLAB film festival in Poland.

Directed by Ali Keivan and produced by Hamed Rahnama, the short film is about a boy named Vahid whose father bought a bicycle for him to take part in a competition, but it is similar to the stolen bicycle of Vahid’s friend.

The cast list of the film includes Ilia Mashayekhi, Kian Davoudi-Azad, Jamal Foadian, Reza Nili, Akhtar Khoshkar, Sajjad Tajik, and Taha Najafpour.

‘Winner’ has previously won several awards, including an honorary diploma at the 51st Roshd International Film Festival Awards in Iran.

According to the official website of the KINOLAB, "it is a film-discussion platform focused on current socio-political topics, which in the form of film and subsequent discussions with experts allows the audience to look into areas that are not socially discussed and encourages them to actively think critically”.

The upcoming edition of the festival will be held in June.
