‘Kingdom of Solomon’, Iran’s most expensive cinematic project

iFilm English channel has scheduled to air popular period drama ‘The Kingdom of Solomon the Prophet’ this weekend.

The Iranian film is considered as the most expensive movie of the Iranian cinema history.

The crew of the film included many international experts of various fields from around the world.

The visual plans by Chinese visual effects experts remind most of the scenes of the movie of Hollywood effects especially ‘Lord of the Rings’.

‘The Kingdom of Solomon the Prophet’ used Dolby Digital sound to make the quality of the film equal to international standards.

The film narrates one of the most famous and popular religious stories belonging to king Solomon of Palestine.

Based on the Quranic narrative, Sulaiman (PBUH) was born and raised in Jerusalem, Palestine. He was the son of Prophet David (PBUH). As one of God’s prophets, he had some miracles, including his ability to communicate with all kinds of animals. He was also given the power to command the jinn – the unseen beings created by God.

‘The Kingdom of Solomon the Prophet’ by Shahriyar Bahrani is more focused on how prophet Solomon (PBUH) (played by Amin Zendegani) is faced with a world of evil threatening his kingdom.

“Prophet Solomon, king of Judah and the son of King David, asks God to grant him the ideal kingdom. But for this to happen, he has to face a world of evil and an imminent and brutal war. When the leaders of different Israelite tribes reject his call for help, disaster strikes. Solomon is faced with a world of evil, threatening his kingdom, followers and even family…”, a brief synopsis for the flick reads.

Notable among the cast of the flick are Elham Hamidi, Mahmoud Pakniyyat, Mehdi Faqih, Amin Zendegani, Hossein Mahjoub and Alireza Kamali-Nejad.
