Using trickery or prudence?: A moral dilemma in ‘The Times’

Iranian series ‘The Times’, currently on iFilm English screen, is to pose a dilemma in the upcoming episode tonight at 18:00 GMT.

One of the best things about conflict is that it pushes the characters to act. In tonight’s episode of ‘The Times’, the conflict arisen between Mr. Nikkhah and his wife reaches its peak.

Now, in absolute confusion, Arghavan is placed in a dilemma by Mr. Nikkhah, her supervising attorney, that is generating her inner conflicts.

Arghavan is advised to use force and prudence to get whatever that is taken from her by force and trickery. The question is: which road will Arghavan take? The road induced by trickery or prudence?

‘The Times’, directed by Hassan Fathi, will be screened at 18:00 GMT every evening with three re-runs of each episode the next day at 00:00, 09:00 and 15:00 (all GMT).

A short synopsis of the series reads, “When Behzad lost his dad as a young child, his uncle stepped in and provided everything he and his family needed. The uncle has played the role of a father to him. Now Behzad is all grown up and runs his own company. When he starts looking into the circumstances of his father’s death twenty years ago, new information comes to light which threatens to tear the family apart”.

The cast of the series includes Shahram Qaedi, Houman Barqnavard, Mehraneh Mahin-Torabi, Parinaz Izadyar, Roya Mirelmi, Hossein Mahjoub, Hamid Goudarzi, and Fariba Motekhasses.
