Iranian short ‘Don’t Breath’ wins at Houston Int'l Film Festival

Iranian short film ‘Don’t Breath’ wins an award at the 2022 Houston International Film Festival in the US.

Iranian short film ‘Don’t Breath’ has grabbed the bronze award at the 55th edition of the Houston International Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Milad Nasim-Sobhan, the short film is the story of a man who sees smoke coming out of his mouth when he lets out his breath. This  makes him and people around him uncomfortable, bringing forth new challenges.

The cast of the short film are Ali Baqeri, Alireza Mehran, Ali Farzin, Vahid Khaksari and Amirali Alinaqi.

Starting in 1961, the Houston Film Festival is the third oldest film festival in North America.

According to the official website of the Houston International Film Festival, its “mission is to recognize and honor outstanding creative excellence in film, to validate brilliant abilities, to promote cultural tourism for Houston, to educate young people in the cinematic arts, to develop film production in the region, and to add to the rich cultural fabric of the city of Houston”.

The event was held on April 20-24, 2022.
