Tehran hosting 1st int’l event on traditional clothing of Islamic world

The 1st international specialized event of traditional clothing of the Islamic world has been inaugurated at Tehran’s Milad Tower complex.

Organized by the Public Culture Council of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran in cooperation with ECO Cultural Institute, the exhibition puts the traditional clothing of Muslim countries on display along with photos and videos of Ramadan culture.

Over 10 countries including Azerbaijan, Senegal, Turkmenistan, and Malaysia are present at this event.

There are also lectures and workshops on the sidelines of the event.

Visitors can also view clothes produced by some Islamic brands.

The event’s inauguration ceremony was attended by Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili and a number of domestic and international officials.  

The event aims to bring to light the cultural diversity of the Islamic world as well as the influential role of culture and diplomacy in the relations between countries and the unity of the Islamic world.

The exhibition was opened on April 28, and will run through May 03, 2022.
