In response to Sita’s query on what Hijab is and why women have to wear Hijab, Parvaneh explains to her that Islam values women’s personality more than their physical appearance.
“A woman’s value is not in her beauty but in her personality. She is a person. She has wisdom. She shouldn’t be looked at or judged by her beauty. She is not an object. She must be respected and treated well,” Parvaneh adds.
She further goes on to say that, “Women in the West, as they claim, have achieved freedom and equality by removing boundaries and limits between genders. But what they’ve lost is far more than what they have gained.”
Sita, who seems not to be convinced, goes on asking “like what for instance?”
