Badalona filmfest to host Iran’s ‘Miss Ronaldo’

Iranian short documentary film ‘Miss Ronaldo’ has been set to compete at the FILMETS- Badalona Short Film Festival in Spain.

Directed by Kioumars Chenari and produced by Morteza Shabani, the short doc will be on screen at the competition program of the 48th edition of the Spanish fest.

‘Miss Ronaldo’ is a 4-minute short about a little girl named Ayeh Qassem- a footballer- and her childish sufferings and dreams.

The film has already been screened at a number of global film events, including the Crazy About Film Festival in the US and the Doigenes Film Festival in Georgia, where it won the honorary award of the fest.

Founded in 1969, the FILMETS- Badalona Short Film Festival started off under the name of the Badalona International Short Film and Video Festival. Ever since, it has become one of the important international film events and a meeting point for filmmakers and a loyal audience.

This year’s edition of the fest is slated for October 21-30.
