Iran’s ‘Echo’ on way to Tracce filmfest in Italy

Iranian short film ‘Echo’ is to take part in the Tracce Cinematografiche Film Fest in Italy.

Award-winning Iranian short film ‘Echo’ has been slated to take part in the Tracce Cinematografiche Film Fest in Italy.

Barzan Rostami’s short film will be screened at the Short Films competition section of the 11th edition of the Italian film event.

The 7-minute film is about understanding and perception of wildlife and environmental abuse, as well as its consequences on human race.

‘Echo’ has already been shown at a number of global events, including the Smaragdni Eco film festival in Croatia, the R.E.D International Film Festival in Norway, the Snake Alley Festival of Film in the US, and the International Tour Film Festival in Italy.

The flick’s screening at the Southern Cone International Film Festival in Mexico brought it the Best Short Film award.

It also grabbed a Special Jury Prize at Polish Wlodzimiers Puchalski International Nature filmfest.

The Pink City International Short filmfest in India bestowed its Best Sound Designing award upon the film’s sound engineer, Hossein Qourchian.

The Tracce Cinematografiche Film Fest hosts films from around the world and screens short films up to 16 minutes.

The 11th edition of the event to be held on June 28-July 3, 2022, will also host Iran’s ‘Identibye’ directed by Sajjad Shahhatami and Navid Nikkhah-Azad’s ‘The Recess’.
