Kermanshah Province in west of Iran has a nationwide popularity for a traditional pottage named Abbas-Ali traditional Ash.

Kermanshah Province in west of Iran has a nationwide popularity for a traditional pottage named Abbas-Ali traditional Ash dating back to about two centuries ago.

The pottage is popular among the people because of its ingredients. It consists of different types of legumes, wheat, rice, and especially red meat.  

It is served in the holy month of Ramadan. However, serving this pottage is not limited to the month of Ramadan only.

Among many food centers making this pottage, Yatimcheh Abbas-Ali Ash in one of the old touristic areas is the most popular, even for tourists.
