‘Asleep and Awake’ to present challenges of a police wife

The 8th episode of on-air iFilm cop series ‘Asleep and Awake’ is to show how to handle being married to a police sergeant.

Being a cop is tough. Being married is tough. Being married to a cop may be one of the toughest things you will ever do. 

Shirin, officer Ali Jalali’s wife, is voicing her concerns as a police wife, saying, when she married her husband, she was vowing to love, honor, cherish, all that sappy stuff. She was not vowing to send him out the door several days a week wondering if he might not come back through it.

Officer Soudabeh Jalali, Shirin’s sister-in-law, comments that, it is not the same as being married to an accountant or a plumber. So, you agreed to a life of unique anxiety when you said, you do. And everything comes at a price.

To get back to her husband, Shirin sets a strict condition and it is only if Ali looks for a different job.

The 20-epoisode show, directed by Mehdi Fakhimzadeh, will be repeated the next day at 00:00, 09:00 and 15:00 all GMT times.  

‘Asleep and Awake’ is a police story about Natasha who has recently returned to the country. Assisted by Abdollah the Leopard, she commits robbery and other armed crimes. Now is the time for the police to enter the scene and pursue the criminals.

Besides Fakhimzadeh, the director, who plays one of the leading roles, Roya Nonahali, Danial Hakimi, Mohammad Sadeqi, Habib Dehqan-Nasab, Ladan Tabatabaee, Leila Barkhordari and Kamran Tafti comprise the cast members of the show.
