Shorts@Fringe screens ‘The Red Fire’

Iranian short animation ‘The Red Fire’ participates in the Shorts@Fringe film festival in Portugal.

Iranian short animation ‘The Red Fire’ has participated at the Shorts@Fringe film festival in Portugal.

‘The Red Fire’ by Mona Shahi was screened at the 2022 edition of the festival.

“The Darkness Demon has swept over the world, trying to set the ending of Light unlike the earlier promises and prophecies. It is in such an era that a flock of red birds travel in search of the Red Fire; a Fire that according to the prophecies, wipes out the blackness and puts an end to the constant eclipse and absence of the Sun. But where are they going to find the Red Fire?”, a synopsis for the film reads.

The Shorts@Fringe is “a showcase of short films at the Azores Fringe Festival, an international arts festival in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean”.

It “gives the opportunity for filmmakers to have their work showcased in the Azores and also for audiences that otherwise would not have a chance to see this type of work”.

The latest edition of the Shorts@Fringe took place on Wednesday.
