Azadi Tower lit up on Imam Khomeini’s demise anniversary

On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s passing, Azadi Tower, one of the most important monuments of Iranian capital of Tehran has been lit up showing 3d images of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The 3d lighting of the Azadi Tower took place on June 03.

Ayatollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic and the leader of the 1979 Islamic Revolution put an end to centuries of autocratic rule in Iran.

Imam Khomeini, the great leader that is remembered as the pioneer of a new era in Iran's history, passed away in 1989 at the age of 86.
