‘Chamran’ to portray legendary warrior Mostafa Chamran

iFilm weekend movie ‘Chamran’ shows the intensity of war from the perspective of a wartime hero Mostafa Chamran.

iFilm weekend movie ‘Chamran’ (Che) is a different narrative on a wartime hero Mostafa Chamran.

Iranian director Ebrahim Hatamikia’s acclaimed film ‘Chamran’ depicts 48 hours of the life of commander Chamran who joins the Iranian forces fighting against separatist Kurds in the warzones of Kordestan and Khuzestan regions during the 1980-1988 Iraqi war against Iran.

What has remained of martyr Chamran’s action is the memory of his selflessness, sharp mind and fast action to take back the city and liberate its innocent citizens.

Besides the successful depiction of the mystic and thoughtful character of martyr Chamran, the movie has also been great at showing the fast tempo of the events that took place in Paveh city back then.

The special effects, the camera movements, the visual effects, the mise-en-scene and the perfect performances of the cast have all been hand in hand in creating such an immaculate must-watch.

The film was screened at the 32nd Fajr International Film Festival where it succeeded to win two Crystal Simorgh awards for best editing and best visual effects.

‘Chamran’, made in 2013, is scheduled to go on air at 22:00 GMT on June 18, 2022.

iFilm English TV will also repeat the movie the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00 (all GMT times).

The actors' performances were a strength of the film. Some of the stars that made it possible have been Fariborz Arabnia, Mehdi Soltani-Sarvestani, Merila Zarei, Babak Hamidiyan, Saeed Rad and Amir-Reza Delavari.
