Welcome to stork city in western Iran

The city of Marivan in western Iran is known as the stork city, welcoming flocks of migratory storks during spring.

The presence of hundreds of storks has changed the tourist-friendly region into a town for storks in Iran.  

Residents of the region consider the migration of storks to the area as a symbol of peace and good luck.

The branches of oak and hawthorn trees in the city have been suited as the nests of storks, and the sound of stork chicks has produced pleasant music in the area.
