The United Nations has scheduled the ‘Nelson Mandela Forever’ photo exhibition by Iranian photographer Meysam Shahbabaee.
In conjunction with shooting Shahbabaee’s documentary ‘Nelson Mandela Forever’, a collection of the director's photos of Mandera will be up for display at the UN center in the US city of New York starting on January 3, 2017.
The UN General Assembly has declared July 18 “Nelson Mandela International Day”.
The production team for the Iranian documentary has also traveled to the US to capture parts of the film in the country.
Earlier on, the film’s media adviser was quoted by the media as saying that the cinematography is supposed to take place in the US landmark locations of Washington, Los Angeles and New York.
Shahbabaee’s ‘Nelson Mandela Forever' is a documentary which narrates the forgotten concepts in human relations with a focus on the demised South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, politician and philanthropist.
Iranian actress Mahtab Keramati, who was appointed as UNICEF National Ambassador in Iran, does the narration for the film.
The documentary chronicles the life story of anti-apartheid hero Nelson Mandela, who died on December 5, 2013, and features political, cultural and sports figures.
On the occasion of Nelson Mandela International Day in July this year, Iranian director of the doc on Nelson Mandela organized a photo exhibition in Iran bearing the same title of the documentary.
