‘Under the Vestibule’ shuns sin-tainted pleasures

The 18th episode of ‘Under the Vestibule’ highlights there is no pleasure in life worth committing a sin for.

The 18th episode of ‘Under the Vestibule’ to be aired at 22:00 GMT tonight, highlights there is no pleasure in life worth committing a sin for.

Davoud, only a peon in the shop of Manijeh’s father, has got involved in the criminal acts that she and her step-brother, Mansour, have committed.

The poor yet greedy young man aided and abetted Mansour framing Ata for a crime he carried out for the sake of his love for Manijeh.

When he joined this dishonorable scheme as an accessory, Davoud had dreams of becoming wealthy, but will he achieve his goals?

In a promo cut from tonight’s episode of the show, Mansour’s rage and greed will make Davoud remember his uncle’s disregard for easy money and sinful pleasures saying, “there was no pleasure in this world which was worth committing a sin for.”

Directed by Sirous Moqaddam, the 27-episode series is about Ata and his fiancé, who make plans to rob her father’s jewelry store. Ata goes through with it, but then he gets caught and his fiancé abandons him and marries another man.

Now Ata is stuck in prison and looking at even more time because he is being accused of stealing some diamonds which he never stole.

Among the cast list are Amir Jafari, Shiva Ebrahimi, Maryam Amir-Jalali, Anahita Afshar, Atila Pesyani, Pourandokht Mohaymen, Maryam Boubani, Majid Vasheqani, Arash Majidi, Pantea Bahram, and Kamran Tafti.
