Al-Kawthar channel is to play host to the 1st 'Hello Commander' international festival.

Al-Kawthar channel, Tehran-based Arabic-language television channel, is set to play host to the 1st edition of ‘Hello Commander’ international festival.

All Muslim children and adults are invited to send their dramatic, literary, visual and musical works related to the song ‘Hello Commander’ to this network.

The festival aims to strengthen the feeling of submission and to promote the epic song ‘Hello Commander’ (in Persian: Salam Farmandeh).

The due date for submitting artworks will be October 6, 2022. The submitted works do not have language restrictions.

The winners, after being judged by the jury, will be announced on October 17, concurrent with the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The festival will be held in three age categories of children, teenagers and adults.

More information on the terms and conditions of sending works to the international festival is available on the website of al-Kawthar TV at www.alkawthartv.ir

‘Hello Commander’, produced by Abouzar Rouhi, features a child who was born after 2011 and is speaking to Imam Mahdi (AS), the 12th and last infallible Shia Imam, who has been living in occultation ever since 941 on lunar calendar.

Imam Mahdi (AS) is known as the Savior among Shias who believe he will reappear, establishing peace and ridding the world of injustice, discrimination, and other instances of evil. Shias believe that Imam’s reemergence will take place on a Friday.

The song also addresses the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
