iFilm to set ‘Day of Departure’ on playlist

iFilm English TV channel has been slated to televise Iranian TV series ‘Day of Departure’ from Tuesday evening.

Directed by Javad Afshar, the first episode of the social drama will hit the air at 22:00 GMT. Each part will be repeated three times the next day after the first run at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00 (all GMT times).

The ‘Day of Departure’ is about the life story of two identical twins, Rahim and Karim, who have been apart since birth.

Rahim has recently discovered that he has a twin brother named Karim after the latter was murdered. Determined to find the culprit, he decides to poss as Karim to help the police track down the killer.

But this role-playing proves to be more difficult than he had initially expected as the murder still haunts the lives of all the ones affected by it.

Faqiheh Soltani, Danial Hakimi, Maryam Boubani, Mohsen Qazi-Moradi and Hassan Shokouhi are among the cast members of the series.

The 23-episode series replaces ‘Under the Vestibule’ directed by Sirous Moqaddam.
