Cinema iFilm highlights ‘The 29th Night’

Cinema iFilm has highlighted ‘The 29th Night’ produced and directed by Hamid Rakhshani.

Co-written by Rakhshani and Ebrahim Mansouri with a dreadfulness theme, the movie is one of the most outstanding horror films in the history of Iranian cinema.

A 1988 production, the story of the 119-minute movie is about Mohtaram and Esmaeel, a couple traditionally set to marry each other since their childhood.

When Mohtaram was born, her father saw a jinn and has always been worried about her future.

Some years later, when the city is evacuated due to an earthquake notice, Mohtaram meets the jinn who is terrifyingly moving towards her.

Cast list of ‘The 29th Night’ includes Hossein Gil, Reza Rouygari, Reza Rakhshani, Zhila Shahani, Marjaneh Golchin, Hamideh Kheirabadi, Esmat Rezaee, Mandana Aslani, Mandana Babakhani, Hossein Shahab, Mansour Heidari, and Issa Safaee.
