‘Katvoman’ awarded at Kelibia filmfest

Iranian short flick ‘Katvoman’ has won an award at the International Amateur Film Festival of Kelibia (FIFAK) in Tunisia.

Iranian short flick ‘Katvoman’ has won an award at the International Amateur Film Festival of Kelibia (FIFAK) in Tunisia.

The film directed by Hadi Sheibani, won the best international film award of the 2022 edition of the festival as Iran’s only representative.

Also written by Sheibani, the short film is inspired by the character of Catwoman.

“Katvoman has become weak to the extent that she cannot save people anymore,” a synopsis for the film reads.

‘Katvoman’ received its world premiere at the 20th Molise Cinema Film Festival in Italy.

Founded in 1964, the FIFAK is one of the oldest film festivals in Africa.

It is “an essential place for discovering the talents and artistic creativity of young people,” website of the event reads.

The 35th edition of the event ran on August 13-20, 2022.
