Mystery rug connects past, future: ‘Reyhaneh’ scene cut

A small rug will connect Reyhaneh to the past that she does not know about on the 3rd episode of ‘Reyhaneh’ to be aired at 21:00 GMT tonight.

Reyhaneh grew up without knowing her biological parents. Now, after so many years, the young woman is given a precious piece of Persian rug that can be a clue for her to find her origins.

This will not be an easy mission to accomplish for her, of course. However, on the coming episode of the show, she will take the rug to a merchant who will unwillingly give her the address to Touba, Reyhane’s biological aunt.

Directed by Sirous Moqaddam, a brief synopsis for the show reads, “Reyhaneh’s life changes when she is told that the people who brought her up were not her real parents. Her parents manage a carpet-weaving workshop and she is also told that her grandmother has a rug which can lead her to find out more about her past, but the rug is stolen. However, that is just the tip of the iceberg as Reyhaneh’s reluctant aunt reveals the story of her parents”.

Notable among the cast members of ‘Reyhaneh’ are Roya Teymourian, Ahou Kheradmand, Hassan Pourshirazi, Enayat Bakhshi, Ziba Boroufeh, Iraj Nozari, late Zohreh Fakour-Sabour and Saleh Mirza-Aqaee.

iFilm English TV will repeat each episode of the social drama on the next day at 02:00, 06:00 and 13:00 (all GMT times).
