Kimia left Arash as she believed he was not loyal to her and their relationship was not based on love from the very beginning.
Since then, Kimia went back to her hometown, Khorramshar, the city which was the main battlefield of the imposed war on Iran.
She lost her best friend to the war and was forced to take custody of her daughter, Azadeh. As if it was not enough already, Keyvan, her younger brother was captured by the Iraqi forces.
All the incidents drove Kimia and her family devastated and made them go back to Tehran.
Now in Tehran, it seems that Kimia has forgiven all Arash’s faults and the couple are back together. How long this happy family image will last?
Directed by Javad Afshar and produced by Mohammad-Reza Shafiee, ‘Kimia’ tells the story of a woman’s life during extremely important events in Iran’s contemporary history.
Kimia Parsa was a young girl living in the city of Khorramshahr during the reign of the country’s former king, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
We follow her as she experiences the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Saddam Hussein’s war on the country, and the present day.
As she experiences some of the most tumultuous times in recent history, her life is ravaged by pain and sorrow. Still, she refuses to give up hope and carries on.
Azita Hajiyan, Mehdi Soltani-Sarvestani, Gelareh Abbasi, Pouriya Poursorkh, Hassan Pourshirazi, Reza Kianian, Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia, Niki Karimi, Mehraveh Sharifinia, and Mehdi Pakdel make up the castlist of this 110-episode series.
