Show Me Shorts to screen ‘The Sprayer’

Iranian animation ‘The Sprayer’ has been set to take part in the Show Me Shorts Film Festival in the Netherlands.

The Short Film News website reported that ‘The Sprayer’, directed by Farnoush Aabedi, will compete at the 2022 edition of the event.

“One day, a soldier finds a seed buried deep down in the dust...,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The film previously took part in several festivals, including the DC Shorts Film Festival in the US.

It also managed to win the Best Animation award at the 3rd edition of the Better World Film Festival in Germany.

Founded in 2006, the Show Me Shorts is a leading international short film festival in the Netherlands. It is an Academy Awards-accredited festival.

The festival aims to “connect New Zealand audiences with short films and share New Zealand short films with the world”, according to website of the event.
