‘A Winner’ to vie at Chania filmfest

Iranian short film ‘A Winner’ is to vie at the Chania Film Festival (CFF) in Greece.

Directed by Mehdi Mahaee, the short will be screened at the 10th edition of the event.

The short film is about a female filmmaker who is on the verge of divorce, but she realizes something that puts her at a crossroads.

The film has so far gone on screen at a number of global events, including the Riverside International Film Festival in the US.

The Chania Film Festival is designed and organized by the AMKE "Cultural Society of Crete”, which was founded in 2002 “with the aim of cultivating and promoting cultural, educational, informational, artistic and related publishing activities”, the event’s website reads.

“The CFF is a mature fruit of the film interventions and synergies of the Cultural Society of Crete.”

The 10th edition of the festival is slated for October 19-30, 2022.
