The exhibition was opened in the HARPEX gallery of Farentino, Italy, with the central theme of Dowlat Abad Garden of Yazd and its famous wind catchers.
The exhibition hosts tourists on the occasion of UNESCO's international registration of the Dowlat Abad Garden wind towers as the world's highest clay windmill.
The event was organized by the Islamic Republic of Iran's Cultural attaché in Italy.
Being among 9 Iranian Gardens which are collectively registered as one of Iran’s 17 registered UNESCO World Heritage Sites under the name of the Persian Garden in 2011, Dowlat Abad consists of a pavilion that was built according to the original Iranian architectural style and a large garden and some other buildings.
Dowlat Abad Garden is also renowned for having Iran’s tallest badgir (the wind tower), that is conceivable from miles away. This traditional air-conditioning system of local houses around the desert in Iran is an essential element at the residential structures.
