The national library of Bulgaria has launched a book section themed on Iran.

The section entitled ‘Iran Corner’ has been set up in the SS. Cyril and Methodius National Library in the capital city of Sofia to celebrate 125 years of diplomatic relations and 75 years of cultural ties between Iran and Bulgaria.

Present in the opening ceremony of the ‘Iran Corner’ in the Bulgaria National Library were Iranian Ambassador Mohammad-Javad Rasouli, Iranian cultural attaché Javad Amini-Manesh, director of the library Krasimira Alexandrova, and a group of Bulgarian cultural figures.

Some 32 books have been offered to the library, including titles introducing Iranian great personalities, Iran's tourist attractions, the holy book of the Qur'an, a book on the peaceful coexistence of followers of different religions in Iran, and a book on the Persian Gulf's identity in historical maps.

With nearly 8.5 million documents, the St. Cyril and Methodius National Library is the most significant book treasure in Bulgaria.
