Girona fest in Spain to host Iran’s ‘Deep Sleep’

The Girona Film Festival in Spain is to host Iranian ‘Deep Sleep’.

The Girona Film Festival in Spain has been slated to play host to Iranian short flick ‘Deep Sleep’.

Directed by Abbas Ghazali, the short flick will hit the screen at the main competition program of the 34th edition of the Spanish fest.

‘Deep Sleep’ tells the story of a person who gets sleepless one night for no clear reason. To overcome the uneasy feeling caused by the insomnia, he leaves home at midnight for a stroll hoping to feel sleepy.

However, this midnight walk makes him involved in an adventure, which becomes the turning point of the story.

Mohammad-Sadeq Malek is the only cast member of the flick.

The film has already been screened at the Jehlum Short & Long Film Festival in India.

The Girona Film Festival aims to give room to emerging filmmaking talents to flourish. The event will host around 400 films, including features, shorts, documentaries and animations.

This year’s edition of the event is slated for November 8-13.
