Pomegranate, fig festival in Jolfa

The sixth edition of pomegranate and fig festival has been held in the border area of Nordouz in Jolfa County of Iran’s East Azarbaijan Province.

Jolfa County is the top producer of pomegranates and figs in East Azarbaijan Province.

The festival is aimed to introduce the two crops. It has been a common tradition among farmers for a long time with the aim of expressing gratitude for God’s blessings.
