Iran’s ‘Graveyard’ to vie at Philadelphia Asian American fest

Iranian ‘Graveyard’ is to compete at the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival in the US.

Iranian short film ‘Graveyard’ has made its way to the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival (PAAFF) in the US.

The Short Film News website reported ‘Graveyard’ will compete at the 15th edition of the PAAFF

Directed by Ali Daraee, the film is about Reyhaneh, a young woman, who was behind her baby’s death.

As she looks for a way to bury the baby in the absence of her runaway husband, she faces hardships, a synopsis for the film reads.

Earlier reports said ‘World Cup’ will also take part in the 15th PAAFF.

‘World Cup’ is written and directed by Maryam Khodabakhsh.

The Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival “aims to serve as a platform to showcase and celebrate Asian and Pacific Islander diaspora storytellers and their works”, the website of the event reads.

The 2022 edition of the festival will take place on November 3-13.
