Cinema Rimbaud of France awards Iranian film ‘Mom’

The 4th Cinema Rimbaud (Les Rimbaud du Cinema) in France has bestowed an award upon Arash Anisi’s film ‘Mom’.

The French screening event awarded Iranian actress Roya Afshar with the Best Actor Award for her performance in ‘Mom’.

‘Mom’ is the life story of a mother as narrated by the family’s youngest child, Ahmed.

The directorial debut of Anisi has previously participated in the International Film Festival of India in Goa, Chennai International Film Festival, and Wales International Film Festival, Irandaily reports.

Amir Norouzi, Erfan Ebrahimi, Amir Shams and Shaqayeq Shourian make the cast list of the flick.

The film has its first national screening at the 39th Fajr Film Festival, with nominations in five categories including best directing.

The Les Rimbaud du Cinema is a platform to promote independent cinematic achievements.

The 2022 winners of the event were announced on September 26.
