Will it rain tonight in iFilm English TV’s historical series ‘Avicenna’?

The miller, a simple layman, insists that it will rain tonight. So, he tells Abu Rayhan al-Biruni and Avicenna to spend the night inside the mill; and they strongly disagree.

But the great scientists of the time believe that true science requires observing the sun, the moon, the stars and other signs.

“A true natural scientist has to observe all of the external world; its matter, its substance, very carefully,” Avicenna says.

Directed by Keihan Rahgozar, the series is about Avicenna, a prominent 11th-century Iranian philosopher, scientist and physician, treats a leading politician of his time who apparently has been poisoned by his three sons.

This revelation unfolds a series of events that leads to the involvement of the then-ruler of Iran, Sultan Mahmoud Ghaznavi.

On the cast list are the recently demised Amin Tarokh, Enayat Bakhshi, Esmaeel Mehrabi, Changiz Vosouqi, Mohammad Abhari, Saeed Oveisi, Mohsen Sohrabi, Jamshid Layeq, Ezzatollah Moqbeli, Hossein Moheb-Ahari, and Mehri Vedadian.
