Iran’s Saveh Jame Mosque shines with unique architectural features

The city has several ancient monuments, with unique architectural features, dating back to both pre- and post-Islamic periods.

Jame (Grand) Mosque of Saveh is among the main architectural masterpieces of the city.

The historical mosque, with a height of 16 meters and a diameter of 14 meters, is made of adobe and mud.

“The building of Saveh Jame Mosque consists of a courtyard and a dome in its southern part, two Iwans, a minaret, several Shabistans (prayer hall), and many old Mihrabs decorated and built with Kufic script,” writes Iranpress.

The turquoise tiling dome of Saveh Mosque has doubled the beauty of the Saveh Mosque.
