The village with a history that dates back to a thousand years ago was registered in the country's national heritage list in 2019.
In the past, Shiraz's Qalat village was known as Kalat meaning castle or a place built on a high mountain.
The village used to be one of the residences of Iranian former kings in the summer. During the Persian Atabakan period, a large castle was built in the area.
Although the historical castle of Qalat village has been destroyed, it is still a sight to see.
