Iranian short film ‘The Ring’ has made its way to the Mindanao Film Festival in the Philippines.

Directed and produced by Roham Rasouli, the film will vie at the main competition section and the film market of the 20th edition of the event.

The short film deals with the destructive effects of war and its survivors. A short synopsis of the film reads: “Life of an elderly man is affected by his lost ring.”

Mohammad Jahanpa and Sepideh Mazhab are the two main actors of ‘The Ring’.

Tracing its roots to 2003, the Mindanao Film Festival is the longest-running regional film festival in the Philippines and the longest-running independent film festival in the country.

Starting out as the Guerrilla Filmmaking Festival, it was eventually referred to as the Mindanao Film Festival in 2005.

This year’s edition of the event is scheduled for December 4-11.
