Sina and Bita to get divorced in ‘The Sound of Rain’

Sina and Bita are to get divorced in iFilm’s social drama ‘The Sound of Rain’.

“It is a good profession, isn’t it? … To find a rich girl and then marry her, then get a billion tomans to let her go. You must have a lot of plans for your money; a nice house, a fancy car,” Bita’s father tells Sina.

“My plan isn’t any worse than the plan you’ve made for poor Taha,” Sina answers.

Directed by Hossein Soheilizadeh, ‘The Sound of Rain’ tells the story of Taha, a successful businessman and a widower living with his five-year-old daughter.

On a business trip to Turkey, he gets framed for smuggling drugs and sentenced to life in prison, so he entrusts everything he’s got, including his daughter, to his nephew.

After twenty years, Taha gets released and comes back home, but things aren’t exactly as he’d left them, and he soon realizes he may have put his trust in the wrong people.

Notable on the cast list of ‘The Sound of Rain’ are Sorayya Qasemi, Mehran Ahmadi, Siavash Kheirabi, Sam Derakhshani, Sepideh Khodaverdi, Elham Charkhandeh, Azadeh Zarei, and Hamid-Reza Pegah.
