It is Christmas and the happy vibes of the holiday season’s festivity in in the air all around the world and in Iran, despite being a Muslim-majority country.
Every year on Christmas, along with Christians around the globe, Christian and even Muslim Iranians celebrate the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ. They would rush downtown Tehran to Narmak and Majidieh neighborhoods that are mostly resided by the Iranian Armenians to buy last minute items for the event.
Besides, this year as the risk of contracting COVID-19 has lowered, many people throw parties.
The majority of Christians living in Iran are Armenians who follow the oriental orthodox branch of Christianity. Although they make up less than 1-percent of the Iranian population, they feel at home when it comes to Christmas.
Here on iFilm English, we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
