iFilm 2 Channel talks about Shahnameh on Yalda occasion

The iFilm 2 Channel has had an exclusive show on Yalda Night, honoring the Persian Language and culture.

Parasou Yamini, Iranian professor and Shahnameh scholar was the special guest of the show.

Yamini spoke about the prominent position of Ferdowsi's Shahnameh among Persian-speaking countries.

This Iranian university professor received her doctorate in the field of "Face of Ferdowsi in the contemporary poetry of Iran and Tajikistan" in Dushanbe.

Whenever something happened in Persian-speaking countries, the Shahnameh became the cause of people’s unification, for example, during the Second World War, the former Soviet leaders announced to unify their people against Nazi Germany saying that they were Fereydon and Hilter was the murderer Zahāk.

She added that as Ferdowsi, himself said; The Shahnameh is not a lie or a myth, it has topics that the intellect praise, such as its historical parts.

She mentioned that The Shahnameh consists of three historical, epic and mythological parts, and the mythological part is not a lie, because myths are the unwritten history of a country.

When writing was not yet invented, the first humans used to transmit their wishes and ideals orally from one generation to another, and as a result of this transmission, the information became distorted. But as the common people say; ‘There is no smoke without fire’ and such events have real meaning.
